ISO 14001: 2004
Playworld Systems is an ISO 14001:2004 certified company, which assures our customers that we have a methodology in place for determining our environmental impacts, as well as the systems for improving our processes to be cleaner and greener.

Lehigh University Energy Assessment
In 2008, Lehigh University completed an assessment of Playworld Systems’ overall energy consumption. We are implementing the following energy saving recommendations:

• Switching to motion and heat-sensored lighting
• Incorporating set-back programming for temperature control
• Implementing a leak detection program for prompt repairs of leaks in our air compressors
• Implementing a high efficiency motor replacement program in our LEED commissioning plan

CPSIA Compliant
Playworld Systems products meet and exceed the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), which requires the restriction or elimination of harmful elements like lead and certain phthalates from children’s products.

RoHS Compliant
Playworld Systems products are compliant with the European Union’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS), which restricts the use of specific hazardous materials in electrical and electronic products.

Playworld Systems is the only playground manufacturer to take aggressive action to eliminate PVC and have its products Cradle to Cradle CertifiedCM Basic.  Cradle to Cradle CertifiedCM is a multi-level environmental certification system that assesses a product’s safety to humans and the environment and design for future life cycles.
