Green Action is a vital part of the Playworld Systems culture. Our employees are encouraged to constantly modify our processes in an effort to eliminate waste and satisfy the needs of our customers. In the cafeteria, and throughout our office, our team members collect paper, bottles, cans, batteries, and more for recycling. And twice a year, we gather for our Free Market, a time when employees can bring in their unwanted clothes, toys, and other household items to exchange with each other or donate to charity.

More Ways Our Team’s Gone Green:

• We installed water coolers in our manufacturing plant and offices, eliminating all our vending machine water bottles. Annually, that prevents approximately 6,744 plastic water bottles from ending up in the landfill.
• Our programmable thermostats automatically turn down the temperature in our offices during nights and weekends, saving an estimated 15,029 lbs of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) each year.
• By reducing the hot water temperature in our office restrooms by 10 degrees, we save approximately 1100 lbs of CO2e per year.
• At night, every employee turns off his or her computer—nearly 200 computers in total—reducing our carbon footprint by an estimated 97,000 lbs each year.
