Casual for a Cause

Casual for a Cause is utilized by various corporations to encourage employees to donate to a non-profit organization, by holding a weekly or monthly “dress down” day. Employees contribute money and in exchange are allowed to wear jeans to the office.

Playworld Systems and its employees believe having fun is a right of all people – regardless of age or ability.  Our playground equipment is designed to ensure that everyone can play together, laugh together, and grow together.

Since April is Autism Awareness month, Playworld Systems selected Autism Speaks to receive the money raised. This month’s Casual for a Cause is just one of the many initiatives at Playworld Systems that addresses those with Autism. In fact, we created the Inclusive Play Design Guide, a practical tool to enable the creation of landmark inclusive outdoor play spaces. By definition, an inclusive playground does not mean a playground created exclusively for use by children with disabilities. An inclusive playground is a community playground where everyone can play together, be challenged and have fun.

Autism Speaks was founded in February 2005 by Bob and Suzanne Wright, grandparents of a child with autism and has grown into the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
